Liza Demukh (b.1993, Minsk, Belarus, lives and works in Warsaw, Poland) began her creative journey in childhood, using art to cope with loneliness and emotional challenges. After studying graphic design at the European Humanities University, she faced bullying and dropped out, leading to a period of creative stagnation.
In 2018, she rediscovered her passion for art, attending various courses and joining Studio 6B, where she experimented with techniques like papier-mâché, linocut, and book illustration.
In 2020, the political crisis in Belarus prompted her to use art as a therapeutic outlet, leading to raw, expressive black-and-white graphics.
Now based in Poland, Liza creates art reflecting women’s experiences, working on a project titled This is she.
